Authoring
- A tutorial on how to create no-menu, looping DVDs with DVD Studio Pro. Some DVD players also have a loop setting.
- Bitvice is a standalone mpeg2 compressor which provides much higher quality encoding than apple compressor.
- Mpeg2s are generally bad at compressing flat colors and hard edges. Adding a blur or static to an animation w/ flat colors or hard edges, will help it compress well for DVD.
- There are disputes about the highest bitrate you can safely encode DVDs at, but it seems to be around 8mbps. Bit Budget is a software calculator that you can use to calculate bitrates for encoding in Compressor or DVD Studio Pro.
